If you are trying to activate Acrobat 8 Pro and you keep getting a message that it cannot connect, try going to http://www.adobe.com/go/activation. This is a site for Adobe customers whose products were activated by a server that has been retired. What happens there is you enter your serial number and you get a new one, along with a link to download the software for use with the new serial number.
I just did this with my copy of Acrobat 8 Pro, and while there I saw some other products mentioned. But I don't know if this is a solution for all older products. BTW, even though I was able to install the new version, I could not connect to register is. I assume this doesn't matter, considering that I registered when I first bought it. |
