Default Replacement for Andale Mono?

Andale Mono used to be free and easy to download from the Microsoft site. And because it was released for free before, the theory goes that it cannot be made unfree, even though Microsoft now only links to places to buy it. But that theory is not enough to make me feel good about downloading it for free when I'm working one someone else's computer. So I'm wondering if there are any good free monospaced fonts with letters that are as unmistakable as Andale Mono's letters.

Suggestions?
