Default Microsoft gearing up GWX (or the like)...again?

Woody Leonhard's article on the possibility that Microsoft might (re)gear their GWX approach--or something similar--in a continuing attempt to get users to switch to Windows 10 is interesting:

"With Win10 adoption stalled, recent events have me wondering if we could see a resuscitation of the much-maligned GWX effort."

"Consider what’s happened since Microsoft rescinded its free Windows 10 upgrade offer six months ago"

"So I’m going out on a limb here, but I’ll make a prediction: I bet sometime in the next few months, Microsoft will re-institute its “Get Windows 10” free upgrade program. This time, I bet there’s a whole lot more carrot and a whole lot less stick."
