Default Why do clients do this to us?

OK, so we have this posh client who insists on submitting his CD artwork in Nero, and we have to get it into Press PDFs to fit our printer's templates rather than Nero's. That means the colour has to be CMYK rather than RGB, and the booklet has to be in printers pairs, which Nero won't do. What's the best way?

Nero won't let me copy then paste into another application of course, nor save as anything else, so I print to a temporary PDF, save as a tiff from Acrobat, convert to CMYK in Photoshop, import into Quark or InDesign to make printers pairs, then create the Press PDF. Takes a while, and I lose the vectors.

I have ten jobs to do like this, so all suggestions welcome!
