Default Choosing software for book publishing

I am writing a book that will contain text and many graphics (mostly photos).

I would appreciate any advice from members regarding the best software program to use. Specifically,

(a) Would PagePlus X7 be a good choice for this project?

(b) Or should I go with one of the more advanced programs, like InDesign or Framemaker? If so, what features would the advanced programs have that PP X7 would not have--and that I would need for the project?

(c) Any other suggested programs for this kind of project?
