Default Martin Solomon r.i.p.

Martin Solomon has died (7 March 2006).

He wrote very influential The Art of Typography: An introduction to Typo.icon.ography — Understanding contemporary type design through classic typography (1986) and taught at NYU and the Pratt Institute in New York.

His funeral is tomorrow (Friday, 10 March) in Rockville Centre, New York. And there will be a memorial service on May 10 at FIT in NYC.
