Default Use a Windows laptop to give presentations?

If you use a Windows laptop to give presentations, you've probably been annoyed and/or embarrassed at one point or anything when the screensaver kicked in, the thing powered down unexpectedly, unwanted messages popped up on the screen, etc.

Was just participating in a kvetchfest about this when a friend pointed out that in Vista and onward, at least in the higher-end editions, there's a Control Panel thingie called Windows Mobility Center (Centre if you speak Unamurrican) where you can control, all in one place, a raft of features.

WindowsKey + X brings it up directly.

Hint: The UI Geniuses neglected to make a crucial button LOOK like a button. To alter the presentation mode settings, click the picture of a projector that looks nothing like a button. It's a button.
