Default DNSChanger

According the news story I saw on TV, computers around the world are infected with a DNSChanger. I found these links.

http://www.fbi.gov/news/stories/2011...malware_110911

http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/dnschanger.asp

http://www.dcwg.org/

Also (according to the news story), the FBI set up their own server to steal traffic away from the fraudulent one. But when they shut this down, the Internet will go dead for computers that are infected.

I have to say, this story sound so far out I am still having a bit of disbelief. Comments.
