Default Firefox jpeg display

My Firefox browser just started doing something I do not like and I am trying to figure out if it is something I did by accident or if the recent upgrade to v11 caused it. When I view an image either by right clicking and picking "View Image" or clicking on a link to an image it now displays centered with a black background. They used to display in the upper left corner of the window with a white background. Centering is all right but I dislike the black background. Any thoughts?

I tried to find any information on this on the Firefox support site but have not been successful.

Firefox 11, MacOSX 10.6.8

Thanks.
