Just wondering if there are any users of Scribus around here.
I recently installed it (on Vista, for now, Linux later), because my art-history student cousin was struggling with installation (and EULA) of (a trial version of) InDesign - which she cannot afford anyway, so I pointed her to Scribus, and in stalled it myself so I could follow along with her (long phonecall...). But I installed it also because soon I want to start designing my first (beta) photo books anyway and I'm not sure if the provided software will be able to do what I have in mind. I have a rough idea of how such programs work (by watching someone using InDesign and reading threads here!), but I'm sure I could use a helping hand myself once I actually get started on that project. So I wondered if anyone here is using it (or has used it)! Just to be clear: I prefer to use free, open source software for everything! __________________ Marjolein Katsma ![]() Occasionally I am also connecting online dots... and sometimes you can follow me on Marjolein's Travel Blog |
