Default Convert CHM

A CHM file is compressed HTML used as help files. Suppose I wanted to turn it into PDF and do extensive editing. Acrobat can't do extensive editing. So I could import that PDF into InDesign or Illustrator. Or for that matter, maybe after extracting the HTML from the CHM, that could be pulled into Indesign or Illustrator. The programs would have to be able to import and entire website, because that's how the HTML ended up. Except it's not on the web. It's on the hard disk.

Any thoughts about this?
