Default So What About New Epsons for the Rest of Us???

My trusty 850 still cranks out very acceptable prints when using Epson paper and max resolution of 1440. Don't know when it will die though. My 850 cost somewhere around $400 several years ago and is an 8x10 printer.

When it does, what's available for the home user who makes his own color photo prints from computer files but doesn't print more than 2-3 times a month?

Is Epson still king, or has it been replaced by some other brand?
