Default Downloading files to iPhone/Pad/Pod

This got started in another thread but it was time to stop hijacking that one.

A project that I'm working on has taken a turn for the simpler, I think. It looks as though I may be able to do what's needed in a collection of HTML files (HTML5 using embedded video).

I'm going to look into HTML5 video support on the various iDevices next, but assuming that's up to speed, I'm trying to learn how one might deliver a Big Wad 'o Files (html, images, videos, whatever) to an iPadPodPhone user such that:

a) they all land in the same folder
b) the user has an easy way of launching one of the html files in the browser

This w/o them becoming experts in device arcana.

And would anyone happen to know whether a given method would work on the iPhone if it works on the iPod touch? I've got occasional access to one of those or might even buy one. Can't quite justify the phone.
