Default Gertrudis Graphics

I noticed that Gertrudis Graphics is giving away its older versions for free.

And the site says they have a brand new GMX PhotoPainter 1.0 for PC and Mac. This is sort of odd because version 1.1 was around a couple years ago.

Anyway, when it comes to software imitation of natural media, there is nothing that passes inspection. But when it comes to effects that capture some of the feel of natural media, that's possible, given the right starting photo. The Gertrudis products are rare ones that can actually be helpful. They let you simulate brush strokes that can vary in size and direction, depending on the content of the photo. This is more than most "strokers" do. But I haven't touched one of these in a long time. So it's up to you to try it.
