What I'd like to know is why can't we do it without their special backup software. Couldn't we get a service that behaves like a network drive. Then we could either backup to this drive, copy images to this drive, and/or copy just some files back and forth as we wish. IOW, the best of all worlds. Of course, there is also the issue of security, and I don't know how we would protect the files on the remote server.
