Default Norton Security 2010

My Internet provider, Comcast, is changing from McAfee security (they keep the version concealed) to Norton Security 2010. Years ago, Symantec Norton AntiVirus was famous for being very difficult to uninstall, but the Wikipedia article indicates to me that this problem has been overcome.
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:No...ernet_Security.

I was happy with the McAfee security, but the Norton will be free, and to continue to use McAfee I would have to pay for it, twice as we have two Windows XP Pro SP3 computers connected to the Internet.

Any comments or advice from members here?
