Default Choose your insult with care

Enough of this Happy Christmas, and Merry New Year bit. Stand up and say what you really mean. Celia Walden in the Daily Telegraph today (Friday) says an insult - gathered up lovingly before being spat out like a fireball - can be a great tension reliever. It should amuse but leave the insultee quietly smarting, and be so loaded with truth that it works on a slow release, continuing to impart its poison, long after delivery, and inclining him or her, perchance, to mend their ways.
