Default First snow

We had our first snow on the ground this morning ... and it is already melted. The first air flurries were last Thursday. In comparision, on Nov 15 last year, when I got possession of my new house, there was six inches of snow on the ground, and I had two weeks of shovelling laneways in two locations.

That snow was still there in March, one of the longest winters in my 50+ years of memory.

(For those wondering, I am in Sarnia, Canada, which is at the southern tip of Lake Huron.)
