Default Busting "other" languages in InDesign

Folks--

It's just happened again: I'm working away on an InDesign (CS3, Mac) layout and notice a word that's been hyphenated in some goofy way (for exa-mple). Selecting the text, I see that its language is set to "Norwegian: Bokmal". This seems to happen a lot (all sorts of languages: you name it); I presume these language settings are brought in when I place MS Word documents that contributors have sent me--evidently, the InDesign "Remove Styles and Formatting..." option doesn't apply to language settings.

Anyway, there doesn't seem to be any quick way to "find all languages except English: USA and change them to English: USA". You can search and replace any single language, but it's obviously too onerous to go through all 40 or 50 possible languages one at a time, if you don't know what's lurking in the document. The quickest way I could find is to start at the beginning of the document and "Select All", then set the selection to English: USA. But even this isn't as easy as it seems, because "Select All" only works on "stories", so you have to manually page through and make sure you've got all the "stories", as well as captions, miscellaneous text boxes, etc.

Anybody know a better/quicker way to set the language for an entire document?
