Default Printing in Adobe CS / Mac OSX 10.5.5

Not sure whether this is related to Ann’s recent problem in Illustrator, but MacFixIt founder Ted Landau writes in the January 2009 MacWorld that printing problems may be caused by a bug in a recent Leopard update (10.5.5).

He does not describe the symptoms (just refers to “having trouble printing” and “printing oddly”), but says the simplest workaround is to export a PDF and print that.

Or, in the Adobe app, select Print, then go to Printer Features and change the printing resolution to 600 dpi. You will have to do it every time you print.
