Default Happy Anniversary to Us!

Last week (December 12), the 19th anniversary of the opening of the Desktop Publishing Forum quietly slipped by. It is said that Internet years are to dog years what dog years are to human years. By that reconning, this community is 931 years old!

In those nineteen years, many things have changed: People have come and gone, we have change from text-only to html-based, we have changed venues, the very industry we serve has changed. Yet some things have remained constant: The conversations here are adult (mostly), polite, and helpful. For an Internet community, that is a remarkable achievement. We should all be very proud of what we have created here.

Although, as my life and career have changed, I am not as active here as I once was, I will always consider this my on-line hometown.
