Default Buying spree

Tomorrow I should receive a large Tripp-Lite surge suppressor and a smaller 2-outlet one for the laptop. And I ordered a replacement for my fried USB hub — all three made by Tripp-Lite, which seems to get high marks for reliability.

And a new scanner. Not really needed, but I took Norman’s advice to the extent that I looked at the two Epson scanners he recommended, the V500 Photo (list $250) and the 4490 Photo ($150).

The V500 looked more appropriate for me, and Amazon sells it for $180 with a rebate offer from Epson taking off an additional $50. Seemed irresistible.

Maybe all this will inspire me to clean up my office, set up the smaller Anthro-Cart desk I bought for the iMac 9 months ago, and generally make the place less of a nightmare to get around in.
