Default Slideshows

I am creating slideshows with Irfanview from my trip to Malaysia and Bali. This is working fine, and I can copy the resulting .EXE files onto a CD, but how would a recipient of the CD know what files to run?

I am thinking about a .BAT file, but my memory of how to do those is not so good anymore. I don't have a good DOS book to tell me, either.

Any ideas?

While I am asking, I can also ask something different. Irfanview does not provide a way to put captions on the photos. I could use Paint Shop Pro to add a border at the bottom, and then add text, but perhaps there is a better way to have a slideshow with captions. Captions would be especially useful for the wedding photos with many relatives that I do not know very well.
