Default glendoran magazine now 25 years old -how did we do it?

In 1982 an idea for a local magazine recording the history of our community was born. Today, some 25 years later, it still flourishes as a recognized and respected part of our community.

It is an 80 page, 16 page full color, the rest spot color. It is the 8 X 10 full magazine format printed on a web press on high quality book stock. A full color glossy cover is stapled for the finishing touch. It is sold as a subscription magazine for $25 per year for the 6 bi-monthly issues.

My wife and I started before computers with the old cut and paste method and have gradually graduated to multiple Macintoshes, Indesign etc.etc.

It has truly been a labor of love and we attribute our success to the fact that it is a "feel good" magazine. You "feel good" when you finish reading it.

We do stories about the town and the people who have, are and will contribute to it. Human interest stories, like why was this park named after this man, what was this building in the 1950's etc. Who, what and why, the key to interesting writing.
