Default Internet speed

Peer-to-Peer traffic P2P certainly has the potential to clog things up with frequent downloads of perhaps 300K for a short TV programme. But I am told that the networks are keeping an eye on this, and Virgin Media for example are installing some super-highspeed fibre optic between their main hubs.

But the delays I get, not least in coming into this forum, seem to be growing. And more worrying, my Email recently has been taking a few hours to deliver instead of my hoped for instantanious. People ring me up and say 'did you get my Email'.
