Default Image Type???

From the days of overhead projectors, I have a set of transparencies of a historical setting, which are very dramatic, as appearing on the wall inside of a large home, they create the feeling that we could just step into the site. But I'm told where I want to use them soon, there is no overhead projector, and that if I scan them into a computer, the people there will shoot them on the wall with a digital projector.

Hmm -- I hope this all works, as I like the drama and realism. I have the options of JPEG, BMP, TIFF, PNG. Should I believe one option is better than another??

It seems on my computer screen, the image has a grain from the transparency. I guess I'm stuck with that??
