Default Using Form2Email

Somebody put a virtual bug in my virtual ear by suggesting that the use of forms instead of plain email links on webpages is a good way to reduce spam.

So I googled around a bit and now have some doubts mixed together with confusion.

Are form2mail scripts and such a good way to significantly reduce the effects of spambots?

Googling for "form2mail" results in beaucoup applets and applications ranging from free to $40 ones having a lot of B&W attached.

I thought I'd come here for recommendations before delving further into the subject.
