Default Printing images

I am interested in printing digital images that result in two different types of prints - both not unlike what you would find in standard medium or large format contact sheets.
The first method would result in a black margin just outside the image - somwhat iregular in shape. Just like a medium format contact print.
The second method would result in an image that is borderless with a rough edge but with an almost "brushed" on effect onto the paper. A large brushed appearance - broad in width.
I have seen a lot of edge software but most produce a very fake appeareance. Any ideas?
