Default PowerPoint to DVD

I have created a simple PowerPoint document for a friend. It consists almost entirely of digital images. She requested PPT so she could step through the images as she talks about the subject. But she'd also like a DVD of the slides in automatic advance mode.

I see a number of tools available for converting PPT into AVI or MPEG that can be burned to a DVD. I am looking for the ones that work and have a reasonable cost. Does anyone here have experience doing this?
