Default Alternate Font Request

I am starting work on a catalog of precision test equipment. There are lots of color photos of nicely machined metal things.

The current book is done entirely in Arial, with the layout implemented in Corel Draw.

I love Draw, but would never use it for a 108 page book. I am starting over with InDesign. My first thought for a font is Myriad Pro and I have prototyped a few pages for the client. She would like to see a couple of alternatives.

So I come to the experts for suggestions. My intuition is that the client will be happiest with a sans face. Most of the copy is 11 or 12 point.
