Default Backgammon, anyone?

I have an on and off hobby of computer backgammon. The most-used software for me right now is a wonderful free program called Gnu Backgammon. It plays at a world class level, and can offer live advice on moves. It runs on Windows/OSX/Linux.

I also have BGBlitz. The Pro version costs 46 US$. It runs on Java, and I'm happy to report that there is no speed problem. It too is a world-class player that offers advice, but it does not have the depth of features found in Gnu Backgammon. So why did I buy less for more? Well, I like it.

Finally, there is my copy of Snowie. Windows only. Costs 380 US$. Before Gnu Backgammon came along, it was the king of the hill for computer playing and analysis. Now, a case can be made that Gnu Backgammon is stronger and faster. But, Snowie looks prettier and has some features that Gnu Backgammon does not. So I still like it for some things.

Anyone else use backgammon software?
