It is curious that email program names have shifted from Eudora Welty , a twentieth century author (1909-2001), to characters in the Odyssey, a 7th or 8th century BC poem, and Pegasus, a mythical flying horse from Greek mythology.
Assigning names to things has always been important, and sometimes difficult. Computer software has had its share of curious names, and I suppose always will. |
