Default SEEdit Maxi, Mac site editor

SEEdit Maxi, a Mac-only XHTML/HTML and CSS editor, seems really useful. While it is not a full-strength general purpose text editor a la BBEdit, it has most of the latter’s XHTML/CSS functions — line counter, syntax coloring, Tidy, etc. — at a much lower price ($40 for a single user).

Use of this program assumes knowledge of (X)HTML and CSS, but automates the process, making it easier to avoid typos and other errors. But SEEdit Maxi goes further, providing tools for site management and RSS, for example. It works with BBEdit, TextWrangler, TextEdit, and Dreamweaver.

And by the way: its web site validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional.
