Default 50% off at Stone Type Foundry

The Stone Type Foundry is offering its fonts for half price. All are available in PC Type 1, Mac Type 1, PC TrueType (usable in Windows and in Mac OS X). OpenType is mentioned but “not yet available.”

The list includes:
  • ITC Stone family — designed first as a three-style family: serif, sans, and informal, all based on similar x-height and weights (and available in somewhat different configuration from Adobe). The Stone Foundry family also includes Stone Humanist (56 fonts in all in the super family). Very useful collection of fonts.
    ::
  • ITC Bodoni — a lovely tour-de-force based on Bodoni original designs (unlike most Bodoni fonts).
    ::
  • Stone Print — released first for use in Print magazine. Compact, well suited for narrow columns in newsletters and magazines.
    ::
  • Silica — a beautiful slab serif family (I only wish it had italics).
    ::
  • And more, including Cycles, Arepo, Basalt, Magma, and Munc.
There are downloadable PDF specimens showing fonts and their variants at the site.
