A Very Old Newbie

In 1972, I was an independent computer systems consultant. I was hired by a printing and publishing company to move them out of the hot type world into "something computerized." After completing my contract and moving on to other things, they went bankrupt. I bought their equipment and customers and became a trade typesetter overnight. It kinda gets into your blood.

I officially retired from all that in 1992, but keep my fingers dirty for several small publishers, manage and host about 85 Web domains, and generally have a good time.

We're primarily an InDesign shop. Serve the local fine art and upscale printing needs with an Epson r1800 and an HP b9180 . Also do large poster work on our HP designjet 130nr (and a 26-inch laminator to go with it). A Xerox Phaser 860 does the work horse stuff.
