Many people set up a sitemap.xml file for their website but do not, for some reason, go to Google's webmaster tools to tell the SE that the file is there, partly because you then have to go through a (simple) vaildation routine to confirm that you own the site whose sitemap you are tring to submit.
Now Google has announced that you can tell them where to find the file just by adding the url to the site's robots.txt file, using the format: Sitemap: http://www.mysite.com/sitemap.xml __________________ Kelvyn Web site design, hosting and marketing, Keswick in the UK Lake District If you are planning a visit: Keswick Tourist Information |
