Default Who's got Freehand 10 on Mac?

Someone sent me an .eps with no preview (or maybe it has a PICT preview that I can't see on PC). When I look at the file in a text editor, it appears to be a Freehand 10 file.

I wanted to open it in Freehand (I've got 10 on PC) so I could resave it with a TIFF preview, but when I try to open or import it into Freehand, all I get is the dreaded empty picture box.

I can open it in AI 12, but the gradient gets cut up into slices, and that worries me.

It's a tiny little file -- 92 KB -- can someone who has Freehand 10 on Mac please try to open it for me and resave with a TIFF preview?

Or does someone know a trick for opening the file in Freehand and getting the actual file and not just the picture box? The spot colors do show up on the swatch menu, so Freehand is recognizing something in the file, just not letting me see it.

TIA,

mxh
