Default Callas pdfColorConvert [PR]

Callas has introduced pdfColorConvert, a plugin for converting RGB, Lab-, and ICC-based data, and spot colors to CMYK within Acrobat 6 and 7 (for Mac OS X and Windows 2000/XP). The software, which costs 249 Euros, is being promoted to “publishing experts and office users who are looking for an easy way to prepare their PDF files for color matching output.”

According to the press release, “pdfColorConvert is extremely easy to handle and does not call for detailed, well-founded Color Management knowledge.”

The software can figure out input settings if the user does not know them, and it ships with a set of output profiles (and others can be imported).

For more information and a free trial, visit the Callas Software web site.
