Default Essential type books, great prices

I occasionally buy books at a discount from Edward R. Hamilton, Bookseller. Yesterday I was checking its list and found three important books on typography at low prices:

Letters of Credit by Walter Tracy, paper, $9.95 (#5458943)

Anatomy of a Typeface by Alexander Lawson, paper, $9.95 (#5332451)

American Metal Typefaces of the 20th Century by Mac McGrew, paper, $15.95 (#6046266)

Here’s the deal: The company prefers not to accept credit cards, though it will accept them. If you go to the hamiltonbook.com web site and place books in a shopping cart, you will be given options at checkout:

(a) ordering on-line and paying by credit card, but you will also pay $3.90 per book for shipping/handling. Not a problem if you are buying only one book but lousy if you want several.

(b) printing out the order form and mailing it with your check. The shipping charge is $3.50 for the entire order, no matter how many books.

In my experience, the mail/check arrangement is quite fast, and the book prices are great. (I have hardcover versions of those three books, and I paid $75 for the McGrew and more than $20 for the other two).

Do you need to know more about the books? Let me know.
