Default Newer on the Server?

I keep getting messages from Dreamweaver MX 2004 that the file I am uploading is newer on the server, do I want to replace it? If I only upload to the server, and make changes in DW on the hard drive, how can the page on the server be newer than the one on my hard drive?

The message is annoying, but the whole situation bothers me. This is happening on a development/test web site, so the practical significance is slight, but it could be important on a production web site.

I just checked the date and time on my computer, and they are correct. It is difficult to imagine the web hosting company server time is incorrect, and even the time zone cannot be a problem, they are in EST like me.
