Default Has your spam total gone through the roof?

No - not a spam message, but a genuine question! I have noticed that over the last week or two, the volume of messages has gone up by at least 5 times: this weekend (I never collect email at weekends so I really notice on Monday!), there were almost 5,500 of the blighters. Until this month, the total used to be around 5-700 - which was bad enough.

A higher proportion are now from spam trappers and postmaster accounts: I assume either a big ISP has rolled out a new anti-spam service, or a mail server/spamtrap product has been upgraded. The fact that I never ever send spam is missed by these dumb programs that notify the return address without analysing the real origin. But that still leaves a huge rise in "ordinary" junk.
