Default Why Mac doesn't live at the P.O.

I'm trying to help my Mac-using friend figure out why she can't get Eudora to work on her new Mac. She bought a used G4 ("OS is 10.4, I think; it's called Tiger") and bought Eudora 6.2.4. She is technologically challenged, and called tech support, although she didn't tell me whether she's talking about Apple's tech support or Eudora tech support.

Anyway, she says "They said Eudora and Macs have some protocol differences."

Anyone know what that means, or if there's any legit reason Eudora won't run on her G4?
