Default Mac: Monolingual

Figured this is the most appropriate section...

The Washington Post runs a small tech Q&A section on Sundays and last Sunday someone asked about how to free up space on his mac harddrive and the suggestion was to use monolingual which is "...a free open-source program that can remove the foreign-language file embedded in OS X and most Mac programs. On a new MacBook, this software won back 2.3gb of disk space, losing only the ability to run programs in lanuages other than English."

Of course, if you need other languages this isn't something you want to do...but the software does allow you to select which languages to remove...
