Default Snippetmaster question

This is probably mostly for Kelvyn, but others might be interested in listening in.

I am considering using Snippetmaster for a new client site (rather than Contribute, whose initial cost tends to put folks off, even though it repays itself very quickly in not paying for my time, and is - almost - foolproof.)

I tried testing my host's setup and got loads of undeclared variable errors. I assume this is the same thing as discussed in the forum there, which tends to suggest that PHP5 is not currently an option. I got a bit lost in the technicals though, so a simple answer would be good!

http://www.snippetmaster.com for those who have no idea what I'm going on about.
