Displaying my ignorance once again ... I have often heard of eBooks and have even looked at a preview of a friend's eBook (in PDF format) prior to publishing, but I don't really know what an eBook is, how they are best designed, layed out, and published, or how they would be marketed and sold.
Who buys eBooks? Being rather "old school" like many others here, it is difficult for me to imagine buying and reading an eBook on a computer screen unless perhaps it was an instructional book intended for use on a computer rather than a re-work or digital copy of a book primarily published for print. (My friend's eBook seemed appropriate for computer viewing as it was a book about digital photography containing many examples of digital photos.) Does anyone here have any personal experience with eBooks? __________________ .. ..Franca ..
