Does anyone have a clue about why Firefox created what appears to be an infinite number of cookies.txt files (suffixed with a number to make the name unique) about every minute that one is using the browser????
I had over 1000 (yes!!! 1000!!!) of these stupid files after using it for a few hours... Is there some option to turn that off? The only time I ever get hits in either Spybot Search & Destroy or AdAware is when I use IE (very rare occurrence but I have to use it every now and again)--normally I use Netscape. Is there some option(s) I could turn off to make it safer? Active-x or something??? Thanks... Terrie |
