Default The BSA and piracy

Illicit fonts: a softly-softly approach to piracy,” by Bernhard Warner, from the Times [of London] Online is an interesting read. The author questions the methodology used by the Business Software Alliance (BSA) to count pirated software, including fonts, but is basically sympathetic with the problem.

The article includes a link to Monotype Typography’s font auditing software (which you can use, it says, anonymously).

Had to laugh — the two Google ads at the bottom of the screen: one one learning how to fight the BSA, the other for the official site of the BSA.
