Default Gradients/Patterns

Having problems with Copy Picture from Excel to InDesign, the patterns get wiped.

It seems to print fine when output as a PDF and imported into InDesign which is a fine workaround but I would prefer a way to fix "Copy Picture" if possible, less steps is always better.

The problem is clearly with the export to clipboard when selecting As Shown when printed, it's not handling gradients/patterns, is there nothing that can be done about this?

Thanks in advance for any insights..
