Default InDesign and non-western fonts

Hi,
InDesign isn't showing certain characters of a turkish font. I have a font which is especially designed for turkish, and the font comes out fine in Quark 6.5. I had understood that this shouldn't be a problem for InDesign, or is there something I have to do to before the font shows up properly?
Thanks,
Graham
