Default Domain Registry Support Tactics

http://www.domainregistrysupport.com/

is a web site with deceptive tactics. I am familiar with them from previous attempts by them to get me to change my domain name registrations from Godaddy.com to them, at much higher prices than Godaddy.com.

This afternoon they called me, unsolicited, and tried to get me to provide a fax number for them to send me a form for switching to them from Godaddy. It took some smooth talking to get them to give me a telephone number, but eventually the caller said 1-800-591-7398. Gotcha! Same toll-free number as on the Domain Registry Support web site.

Because I am on the Pennsylvania and United States "Do not call" lists, and because I have no business relationship with this firm, they are breaking the law by calling me unsolicited. Now I can report them to the Federal Trade Commission and the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Consumer Fraud Division for the unsolicited call.

I strongly object to this company's deceptive business tactics, so I am prepared to report them whenever I can. Members of this forum know not to respond to these tactics, but many domain name owners don't know about their tactics, or their high prices, and can be duped by them.
